The internet can teach you so much. There are so many resources you can use. If you honestly research whatever it is you're wanting to succeed at and put the effort into your work, there is no way you should fail.
I've been researching, second guessing myself , starting over , procrastinating , flipping ideas , going crazy trying to implement EVERYTHING ( my hobbies became my passions ) into one business move. I have started multiple different endeavors that all corrolate pretty much around the same industry.
I've been talking to my family and friends about it for years. It doesn't happen overnight. I have a few people I consider not only friends but mentors. Those who have already experienced what I am wanting to accomplish.

I have always been about collaboration over competition because I am a firm believer that there's enough money and success out here for everyone and we should all be encouraging each other instead of at each others throats. I have never been a hater. Anything someone has or does that I want or I am interested, I take the steps so that I can get it. Anything you want is in your reach and yes sometimes it takes you a little longer than others to get there. YOU have your own journey and you have to become one with yourself to figure out exactly what that is.

There will always be nay sayers, people who secretly want to see you fail that call themselves your friends, people who will copy your dreams, etc.. Push them to the side, you don't need that negativity! Do not stoop to their level. Do not feed into their shade. Remind yourself " I do not need to dim anyone else's light in order for me to shine! "

Don't let anyone tell you NO , or that you won't make it, or can't do it. If you ever feel like giving up, talk to your closet friends, your significant other, family, gurus of whatever interest you have. Listen to positive, motivating, and business savvy podcasts. Create a space where you can meditate and reflect and work.

I promise you got this babe. Tell them that you've arrived and you ain't never going no where

I have a confession, more so something that I hate to admit to myself. I am a victim of domestic violence ( physical and mental abuse). What I hate more is the fact that it is so much more common than people think or what they'd like to believe. It is something that effects me everyday especially with current relationships whether romantic or just friendships. It would take forever to tell my story with every little detail but you'll get the gist of it. I am very defensive when it comes to everything. I hate how much my ex tried to make everything " my fault ", so when people tell me things now for my benefit, majority of the time I find myself being defensive with them. The good thing is I always catch myself and redirect the conversation. I also used to find myself apologizing for things I should not feel the need to apologize for. For example, just being unapologetically me. I lost myself trying to make sure I was this great, supportive, amazing girlfriend but I never had any of that reciprocated. It was like OUR relationship was about only HIM. If it did not benefit him or it was something he had no interest in, it showed. During arguments he would get loud and very angry, he would also slightly have temper tantrums or just ignore me. The shit was all around toxic in so many ways.  I remember every time that man would put his hands around my throat and choke me. I remember fighting him off. I remember trying to leave our apartment that we shared and he just kept pacing back and forth blocking the front door until he finally just picked me up and body slammed me on the living room floor. I still have pictures of blood on the door from a fight I wasn't even aware we had the night before when I came in from going out with friends. And I can still picture the holes put into my bedrooms doors. Every time I think of these things I just thank God I'm no longer apart of the situation and I'm glad neither of our children were ever in the house when these things would take place. It didn't stop once the relationship was over. For about a year, my ex harassed me, threatened me, played on my feelings for his child, stalked me, & threatened and argued with my friends and family. I even tried to talk with his mother about the situations when they happened and she enabled him, she begged me not to call the police and think of his children. I can't respect her for those reasons. EVER!

The first year of our relationship was so good and  I never thought something like this would happen to me but it did and I can admit, I ignored several signs. Looking back, I can now recognize things I didn't before that I should've taken heed of and left the relationship. I used to be one of those people who would say "Couldn't be me, I'd leave him, I'd fight back" but when put in the situation, the tables definitely turned. It's still so crazy to me that I am able to tell a little about what I experienced and I want to continue to mentor and spread awareness not only of domestic violence but the signs, behaviors, and characteristics of men who prey on women. Ladies be aware and if you are currently in a situation where you are being physically or mentally abused, please leave! I deserved better! We deserve better !!!!

It seems like this year I've had the same problem with everything I do, procrastination and inconsistency. I'm one of those people who have 1 million and one ideas floating around in my mind                  and I become overwhelmed and don't know where to start. Or I'll start the project and it takes forever for it to unfold. Although, I believe in quality.. I know this year I have definitely slacked when it comes to following through.

We're now approaching the end of 2017. Wow! Sure did move fast. I've been reflecting on my accomplishments and bad habits I want to break. 2017 had some good, bad, and ugly for me but I always pull through. I've learned from my mistakes and in the end my goal is to finish this next week out strong and pop out in 2018 with a B A N G !!

My 2017 Accomplishments :

  • Graduating from Aveda Institute South
  • Starting my own business
  • Completing a Social Media Marketing & Branding class
  • Stepping outside of my comfort zone ( be fearless )
  • Big purchases ( equipment, programs .. for business purposes )
  • Beginning the process for my online shop

What I'd like to accomplish in 2018 :

  • Launching my online shop
  • Launching #BoozyBrunchPodcast and #NecTV
  • Grand opening of The Beauté Bar
  • Be consistent with my projects including NotEnoughCoffee.net
  • Less stress, MORE self care
  • Get back into graphic design ( possibly go back to school or take CE classes )
  • Saving more money
  • Taking more vacations
  • Be open to a romantic relationship
  • Exercise more
  • Better time management

What I'm leaving behind :

  • People who are stagnant and unmotivated
  • My severe case of procrastination
  • Fears of failure
  • Negative self talk
  • Short hair ( after 10 years of constantly cutting my hair, I've been growing it out. Hello #CurlGirls .. here I come )
  • Allowing other peoples' energies to drain me or alter my energies.
This list is only getting started. I've learned the importance of writing down lists, your thoughts , goals, etc... this year and they have definitely helped me sort of my thoughts and come up with plans of action.  So, whats up.. is it new year, new goals for you sis ? What are some things you're leaving behind in 2017 and what would you like to accomplish? Are you working on your plans of action or don't know where to begin?

Holla at me.

Everyone has a favorite couple that they idolize in the industry. They are idolized for various reasons. For example, people might love how fly they look together, or how long they’ve been with each other, or even how much money they have between one another. I actually have two favorite couples for two different reasons.  I have an obvious one, because they are loved by many. Also my other choice happens to be very slept on in my opinion. Kanye and Kim are my obvious choice. I love how they both have their own name. You know who Kim Kardashian and Kanye West is, and together the are even better. They both make "money moves" with and without each other and I love that about their relationship. And not to mention they always KILL every outfit they step out in. To me that is the definition of a power couple. My other top celebrity couple is Wiz Khalifa and Izabela, they have been dating for a couple of months, but they always make a fashion statement and come correct while doing so. They are one of my favorites because they complement one another so well. I love how happy they look to, and he shows her off. They remind me of relationships in my generation, when everyone wants to be shown off, look good with their partner, and have a good time. Lol they are so cute to me.

Can we just all stop for a second and give Sza some credit because she is absolutely DOPE! Everything about her is so unique, when it comes to her voice, how she rocks her hair, and also her style. She recently just dropped her new album CTRL, and it has to be in everyone's top 5 because you can't skip one song on it. You know when you have Miguel, 21 Savage, P Diddy, Snoop Dogg, and etc promoting your music that you have something special. I think we can all agree that there is a mutual favorite song and it goes "You like 9 to 5 I'm the weekend woo woo" lol. Everyone has made that their caption at least once. She just started her CTRL tour, and if you know anything about me you know I love concerts. So of course I had to go check her out. She preformed in Toronto in a night club and it was so amazing. Sza puts on one hell of a show. I never seen anyone KILL sweat pants, and a bodysuit the way she does. Her energy is just so pure, I love her lol. #livluvlaughsza <3

Every woman loves her a man that can dress, well I know I do at least. These two men have been a trending topic when it comes to wearing “whats hot”. Can anyone take a guess who? Yup! Asap Rocky, and Fabolous. Showing up to red carpet appearances, award/ fashion shows, and dressing on the day to day these two guys ALWAYS bring some serious heat. They are both from the city, which means they have an unique style. Rocky dresses more for the men who consider themselves “fashion killas”. Fab dresses more on the chill side, but its always effective. In my opinion Rocky is the best dressed, because he shows more versatility. He’ll throw on a pair of Jordan 1s, a flannel, with a Supreme t-shirt under it. And also you can spot him in some red Louis Vuitton pants, Fendi fur coat, with a pink Gucci shirt. Rocky also poses for Dior all the time, you know that man can dress lol. Don’t get me wrong though Fab has never let me down, the way he dresses fits his personality. He’s been killing the game with his throwback jersey collection. And he always makes sure that everything matches perfectly, even down to the socks lol. Both Rocky, and Fabolous have proven that they are in their own lane, and that they are here to stay. Who do you think is best dressed? Who do you think is more relatable when it comes to how you throw a fit together? Lets talk!

Trends are essential in the fashion world, they dictate what's' hot and what's not. I love keeping up with the new trends in the fashion world. One that seems to be grabbing everyone's attention is  track pants with some cute heels. At first I was not supportive of the wave, but then Kim K put together, and I thought to myself “she just started something”. After that day I realized that its so many ways that you could slay this trend. For instance, India Love wore a Fashion Nova silver track suit, with snake skin ankle booties, and a fur. Or the time when Rita Ora wore Adidas original track pants an oversized white graphic tee, with red pumps. As you can see these are chill outfits, yet they are still getting the point across. The most important thing about this new trend is that anyone can recreate it! How will you rock your track pants? Will it be with  heels? Ripped stylish over-sized T-shirt? Or some booties, even Vans? Lets talk!

We all have someone that we look up to in the fashion world. Fashion icons establish the newest fads and styles that shape our culture. They dare to be different and inspire all generations to look good doing it! Where would we be without their bold fashion statements and unique character? They are not defined by the clothes they wear but how they wear them. My fashion icon is non other than the baddest female on the planet in my opinion, Ms. India Love. Not only does she embody fitness goals, but just look at her gorgeous and stylish she is. She is in her own lane when it comes to fashion. She doesn’t mind taking risks which I admire, because there are some outfits personally, I wouldn’t attempt to wear . However there are  outfits that can be recreated in an affordable but an identical way. Such as a denim on denim look, or even distressed jeans with a cute  bralete. Ms. India Love is proof that as woman, we can be bold, sexy, and yet comfortable while influencing a whole new wave of iconic style. Who is your fashion icon? have you tried to recreate any of there looks yet? If so,Why? Lets talk!

So my birthday recently just passed, I am now 19 years old. I always celebrate with a dinner on my birthday, but this year I decided to do a photoshoot as well as dinner. I love to take pictures, and I'm not shy in front of the camera at all. But I never had them done professionally so I was kind of nervous. I decided to do a photoshoot with my closest friends. We all came up with a theme which was denim and white, and my solo shot I wore a dandelion two piece. The photoshoot was amazing, my photographer was amazing, my friends are all beautiful and amazing, and overall my birthday was so special I am so grateful for my friends and family.
