Not Enough Coffee

The internet can teach you so much. There are so many resources you can use. If you honestly research whatever it is you're wanting to succeed at and put the effort into your work, there is no way you should fail.
I've been researching, second guessing myself , starting over , procrastinating , flipping ideas , going crazy trying to implement EVERYTHING ( my hobbies became my passions ) into one business move. I have started multiple different endeavors that all corrolate pretty much around the same industry.
I've been talking to my family and friends about it for years. It doesn't happen overnight. I have a few people I consider not only friends but mentors. Those who have already experienced what I am wanting to accomplish.

I have always been about collaboration over competition because I am a firm believer that there's enough money and success out here for everyone and we should all be encouraging each other instead of at each others throats. I have never been a hater. Anything someone has or does that I want or I am interested, I take the steps so that I can get it. Anything you want is in your reach and yes sometimes it takes you a little longer than others to get there. YOU have your own journey and you have to become one with yourself to figure out exactly what that is.

There will always be nay sayers, people who secretly want to see you fail that call themselves your friends, people who will copy your dreams, etc.. Push them to the side, you don't need that negativity! Do not stoop to their level. Do not feed into their shade. Remind yourself " I do not need to dim anyone else's light in order for me to shine! "

Don't let anyone tell you NO , or that you won't make it, or can't do it. If you ever feel like giving up, talk to your closet friends, your significant other, family, gurus of whatever interest you have. Listen to positive, motivating, and business savvy podcasts. Create a space where you can meditate and reflect and work.

I promise you got this babe. Tell them that you've arrived and you ain't never going no where

My biggest problem(s) are time management and procrastination. My goodness, guys I suck. I promised you consistency and I've been all over the place since January 1st. What's a girl got to do to stay on track? If you're like me, with so many ideas and things you want to do and never know where or how to begin, you should probably start with purchasing a planner or desk calendar. Ha, now I did that and guess what? Yep, i'm still the world's greatest procrastinator and its starting to bother me. I hate to not get things done especially once I said that I would so ladies ... I got to be a better goal digger!!

Now I am putting my planner and my phone's calendar into use a little more. It is important to have short and long term goals and not overwhelm yourself with all your ideas, like me..

I am proud of myself for the small things I have accomplished so far this year though. For example, I hosted my first event, which was for #BoozyBrunch. #BoozyBrunch is the all new podcast that Not Enough Coffee will be hosting on iTunes and Soundcloud really soon. The turnout was great and so was the food! I like to eat so you know there was not going to be an event without something to munch on.

I also completed my first phase at Aveda and I am now in phase II and closer to graduating with my Esthetician's license!!

I did another big chop. Yup! I cut my hair AGAIN for the tenth time but I love it. I love how it makes me feel. I am not hiding behind my hair. I love my natural curls. I have to stay off +The Cut Life 's Instagram seriously!!

Any who no matter how big or small the goal is GET IT DONE.

What do I plan to accomplish in February?

  • - Record my first podcast series.
  • - Attend more networking events and support my fellow peers
  • - Give myself two hours outside of work and class to myself ( blog, family, friends,me time )
  • - Consistently post for all of you wonderful readers
  • - Start practicing new makeup techniques on friends/family and build my portfolio

What accomplishments are you proud of so far this year and what are some goals you wish to accomplish? What do you do when procrastination gets the best of you? What are some suggestions to manage time better in your already busy schedule? HELP ME hahaha

I've had a lack of inspiration lately and not necessarily a lack of ideas, but the motivation to carry them through. I have got to quit that shit! I need to find a nice quiet space whether at home or a nice coffee shop or something of the sort to plan out blog post, work on all of my projects and organize my life in general. This is probably the main reason I have had a lack of inspiration because I need to clear my mind. I have been typing this one blog post all day *eye roll*smh.. I just keep on getting distracted easily. I've went to Starbucks, I've cooked dinner, oh and I watched the complete season 2 of Wayward Pines. How Sway? It's September, I have got to get focused. What are some things you do to refocus yourself or find inspiration?

Well, its a new month, with new goals and things to accomplish and new opportunities. I thought buying a planner would help me ( LMAO ) it takes more than just looking put to together than to actually have yourself together. You cannot just fake it until you make it.. you gotta take action... So of course there are things we have planned for the blog that we want to get rolling out. This month you will not only get consistent posts but we will be incorporating podcasts and youtube videos as well.  I'm currently looking for some nice background music for both of these projects, something original. I hope to find it soon or create my own. I got moves to make y'all! Lemme get it together.
Damn ... its Not Enough Coffee for this today

Congratulations Taya!! I love you <3
Ok ok, we're sorry we know we got you all excited about our launch and disappeared on you. But, if it counts for anything we both individually have been working on some exciting projects that will be announced relatively soon. Besides working my ass off planning these projects and being apart of different meetings  I went to visit my hometown for my little sister's graduation. It had been two years since I'd been home. Although I didn't stay too long ( cause its boring as hell in Buffalo to me now ) I did enjoy seeing some old friends and my family. Ya'll know I love food right? I swear my mission the whole trip was to make sure I had some REAL pizza and Buffalo wings .. did I get any? HELL NO and I was so mad but I was so busy running around with little sis I didn't have the time.  I didn't want to leave my sister, Taya. I cried like a big ol baby when I got to the airport. I guess I'm used to seeing her several time a year, so two years was way too long. Never again will I wait too long to visit. I cannot believe my baby is going to college! New York City ain't ready for her :)

So, I got you caught up a little on why I've been M.I.A and I promise to never keep you waiting again. I must confess, I had a little bit of writer's block or blogger block too. I have tons of things to post about but sometimes I can't put it all together the way I'd like to. Any who, we're back and its time to gear up for my birrrrrthhhhhhdaaaaaay *twerks with my tongue out* !!!! LOL.
